	Special Event Marks The Start Of Construction On June 30, representatives from business, community, government, international consular corps, and media attended a special "Building the Gateway" event at YVR to officially launch the Airport Authority's $1.4 billion capital program. more info				South Runway Maintenance Work This summer, the south runway will be closed July 22 to July 29 from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to accommodate maintenance work. During this time, the north runway will be used for all arrivals and departures. more info

	During the summer, more than 565,000 bags are processed in the international terminal each month. On our busiest days in July and August, international passengers at YVR check an average of 15,000 pieces of baggage each day.
