We hope you enjoy it and welcome your feedback.
Kiosks Speed Up Check-in for Passengers
This year is shaping up to be our busiest yet at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), with some 16.4 million passengers expected to pass through our terminals. To help move passengers more efficiently through YVR, we're adding more self-service check-in kiosks.
Summer is the busiest time of year at YVR, with traffic peaking at up to 60,000 passengers a day. While we do our best to ensure fast, efficient passenger processing, heavier volumes require cooperation from both the travelling public and airport businesses.

Next time you're headed to the U.S., get to the airport early to explore our exciting new shops. Located just past security, in the U.S. departures area, passengers can leisurely browse through shops, enjoy our new Starbucks and expanded food court, or even change money at our post-security foreign exchange service, the first of its kind in Canada.
At 92 years of age, Art Arnold holds the distinction of being YVR’s oldest volunteer. For the past 12 years, Art has been a member of YVR’s legendary Green Coat team.
As a community-organization, the Airport Authority is active in a number of local events and fundraisers. On Sunday, June 12, employees from the Airport Authority participated in the Third Annual Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion event.
Air cargo is an increasingly vital component of a world-wide transportation system, providing BC companies and products with fast, efficient access to the world. Handling an average of 630 tonnes of cargo daily in 2004, YVR has maintained the strongest average cargo growth of the major West Coast airports over the past 10 years.
