+ New airlines at YVR
Frontier Airlines Inc. (F9) will inaugurate once daily Airbus A319 service between YVR and Denver International Airport (DEN) effective May 5. F9, approaching its 13th year of operations, is a U.S. low cost airline operating primarily in a hub and spoke manner connecting cities through its hub at DEN. F9 in conjunction with Frontier JetExpress operated by Horizon Air Industries, Inc. (QX), operate routes linking the DEN hub to 47 U.S. cities, seven cities in Mexico and two in Canada including Vancouver. F9 keeps its operating costs low by operating only two types of Airbus aircraft with a single class of service. The F9 fleet consists of 49 Airbus 319 and 8 Airbus 318 aircraft. F9's daily YVR departure is at and 12:55 p.m. arriving DEN at 4:50 p.m.

Globespan Airways Limited also known as Flyglobespan (Y2) commenced its first flight in April 2002 and long haul operations with a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft in June 2006. Y2 will commence daily YVR charter operations May 1 with service to/from Glasgow, London Gatwick and Manchester.

Air New Zealand (NZ) will launch non-stop flights between YVR and Auckland (AKL), New Zealand beginning November 2 of this year. The new route reduces travel time to a little over 14 hours, whereas previous itineraries from Vancouver to New Zealand totaled an average of around twenty hours. The non-stop flight is operated with NZ's new fleet of Boeing 777-200ERs (extended range) configured in 26 Business Premier class seats, 18 Pacific Premium Economy class seats and 269 in Pacific Economy class seats. NZ will depart from YVR on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 18:30(subject to timeslot, capacity and regulatory approvals) arriving AKL 06:00 (arrival in New Zealand is two days later than departure date due to time differences).

Sacramento - Air Canada (AC) is expanding its U.S. transborder network with the introduction of two daily non-stop services from Vancouver to Sacramento (SMF), California effective June 17. The two new flights operated by Air Canada Jazz with 50-seat, made-in-Canada Bombardier CRJ aircraft will depart YVR at 13:55 and at 19:50, arriving in SMF at 15:52 and 21:47 respectively. Flights will depart SMF at 07:40 and at 16:30, arriving in YVR at 09:40 and 18:30 respectively. Flights have been timed to offer convenient connections in Vancouver to/from AC's Asia network and the rest of Canada.
Sydney (SYD) - Effective December 14, 2007, Air Canada will introduce daily non-stop service between YVR and Sydney, Australia using its new Boeing 777-300ER (extended range) aircraft. Air Canada will be the only airline offering non-stop service between Canada and Australia.

- Westjet (WS) will introduce Ottawa service effective May 14 departing at 10:30.
Transborder
- U.S. Airways (US) is increasing Las Vegas (LAS) frequency to double daily frequency up from daily.
- United Airlines (UA) will be operating double daily Los Angeles (LAX) Canadair Regional Jet 700 series (CR7) service.
- Westjet (WS) will be operating daily Las Vegas (LAS) service.
International
- Air Canada (AC) will increase from daily to double daily Boeing B767-300 Beijing (PEK) service effective April 1.
- AC will replace their daily Tokyo (NRT) Airbus A340-300 with Boeing 777-300ER (extended range) aircraft.
- Air China (CA) will be adding additional capacity with the up-gauge of their daily Beijing (PEK) service to Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
- >LTU International Airways (LT) will increase Dusseldorf (DUS) frequency to three per week up from two per week.
