Vancouver International Airport covers about
1340 hectares of land on Sea Island, of which only 15 per cent is currently suitable for lease or development.
To ensure that these lands are managed efficiently and strategically to support the long-term needs of YVR as
an international airport, the Airport Authority has adopted
Land Management Guidelines

and non-airside lands. The focus of the guidelines is undeveloped airport lands and will apply to new leases
and arrangements.
All existing agreements will be honoured and remain in place.
These guidelines were developed after broad consultation with the airport's tenants, neighbours and other
community stakeholders.
