FasTrack
YVR FasTrack is a series of programs designed to get passengers through the airport quickly and efficiently.

YVR FasTrack Check-In

Fastrack Checkin at YVR YVR FasTrack common-use self-service check-in kiosks allow passengers to access multiple airlines from one machine, check in faster, and avoid line-ups. The kiosks are free, easy to use, and can be used by all guests. It takes approximately 60 seconds to check in at a kiosk, making them a quick and convenient alternative to traditional check-in processes.

YVR's common-use self-service check-in kiosks are located throughout the terminals, in the parkade, at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel, and at off-airport locations such as the Delta Vancouver Airport Hotel in Richmond, the Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel in downtown Vancouver, and at the Vancouver Tourist Info Centre, next door to the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in downtown Vancouver.

They are also located in Whistler at the following off-airport locations: Hilton Whistler, Delta Whistler, Tourism Whistler, Westin Whistler, Four Seasons Whistler and Chateau Whistler.

Passengers checking in with the kiosk system will receive a boarding pass to take with them to their gate at YVR, either directly or after dropping off their baggage with the airline.

CANPASS Air

The CANPASS Air program allows pre-screened, low-risk travelers entering Canada from anywhere in the world to pass quickly through Customs and Immigration at major Canadian airports, including YVR. CANPASS Air uses cutting-edge biometric iris recognition technology.

Members of the CANPASS Air program bypass border line-ups by using kiosks with touch screens to answer questions similar to those an inspection officer would ask. A camera on the kiosk takes a harmless snapshot of the users iris (coloured part of the eye) to verify identity.

Members also have access to the priority lane at YVR's pre-board screening checkpoints, giving them expedited access to the security screening process for domestic, U.S. and international departures.

CANPASS Air is a joint initiative of the Canada Border Services Agency and Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

Additional information and applications are available at www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel/canpass/ or at the enrollment centre located near the U.S. check-in counters on the departures level of the International Terminal at YVR.

NEXUS Air

YVR is the first airport in North America to offer NEXUS Air, which makes flying to and from the United States and other international destinations more efficient for pre-screened, low-risk travelers. NEXUS Air offers the same privileges as CANPASS Air plus the additional benefit of automated border clearance for entry into the United States.

For additional information and applications, visit www.nexus.gc.ca.

Application forms (PDF PDF File, 31KB) are available at the Canada Border Services Agency or through the enrollment centre located near the U.S. check-in counters on the departures level of the International Terminal at YVR.

NEXUS Air was developed by the Canada Border Services Agency, Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and United States Customs and Border Protection.
